How the heck do I edit my posts?

Okay, so I thought it would be really easy to just add a post about Nutcracker and Fiddler. Holy cow ! It took me 1 1/2 hours to do it. And as you can see, it didn't turn out so hot, so I need some help on how to get my photos in the right place and not to have so many long spaces between paragraphs. HELP!!!!! And there was a picture I wanted to delete but could not figure out how to do that! It may be another 4 years before I do this again! I'm exhausted!

Okay, so my daughter was giving me heck about not ever adding to my blog, so I decided I better get "with it" and see if I can actually do it! I love reading people's blogs (though I always forget to do it) but I just think who would want to read about my boring life------

Well, actually, things haven't exactly been boring---

In December, I was asked to be in our community's production of the Nutcracker. No, they did not ask me to be the Sugarplum Fairy or the Snow Queen (though I'm sure I would have been fabulous!) You have to start somewhere, right? So--I got to be the Scottish grandmother---and I actually had to dance! It was a small role, but extremely important! What a hoot! Here is a photo (that is, if I can figure out how to attach one).

Then---a lady appproached me in October about me and Bruce being in our community's production of Fiddler on the Roof. Seriously? Well, I had always wanted to do something in one of the many productions our community does, but Bruce? Hey--he's a manly man and being a thespian? Not sure he would go for it! Well, we went to auditions and he did great! I, on the other hand, couldn't get the Yiddish accent and kept slipping into a Spanish accent. So, I wasn't sure about either one of us. He kept saying "I can't sing." The director said, "Sing Happy Birthday to Darla." So he did and they said, 'that was great!" Well, we went away thinking, 'that was an experience, but we were glad it was over." A few days later, we get a call saying, "we would like you to come for call-backs." Are you kidding me? We barely wanted to go to the first audition. Now a call back? Well, I decided I wanted to go back but I had a hard time convincing Bruce. In fact, on the way in, we decided that if I wanted to do it, fine, but he was going to tell them he wasn't interested. I did, however, keep saying, "But it would be so fun to do it together." Well, when we got there, Bruce told them that if they had someone else in mind, he really wasn't interested in doing it. The director looked at him and said, "Bruce, we want you to be Lazar Wolf!" Well, alright then! We got a call the next day telling us we got the roles of Lazar Wolf the Butcher and Yente the Matchmaker. We spent some of November, some of December and every single night of January (except Sundays) at the high school practicing! It was quite the commitment and on dress rehearsal night, I thought "this is going to be just awful!" And I was scared out of my mind that I would forget my lines cause they were long ones - dialogues actually! Well, we did our first night and what do you know? It went over very well. We went on to do 4 other performances and it got better and maybe a little easier. Although, every night when I was about to go on, I stood on the side of that stage going, "What in the heck am I doing? I have to actually go out on that stage and open my mouth and say lines." Oh, dear! Well, we did it and it turned out to be a very fun experience! We met a lot of new people and we became a family of sorts and it was truly a wonderful and memorable exprience! However, I was a little grumpy that for my first play I didn't get to wear pretty sparkly clothes, great make up and a fabulous hair do! No, instead I wore hardly any make up, my hair in a ridiculous scarf and the ugliest outfit I have ever seen! Well, it made for a quick getting ready! Fun fun!
